| Name: | Morgan le Fae |
|---|---|
| Birthdate: | 09-09 |
I am the youngest daughter of Gorlois, Duke of Cornwall, and his wife Ygerna the Fair.
I am full-sister to the Queen of the Orkneys and half-sister to Arthur, the teenage High King of only a few months.
I am Morgne, the lady of Cornwall and the queen of Gore. Most just call me (Morgan le Fae, Morgan of Cornwall, Morganna, Morgaine, sister-lover-mother-rebel) Morgan.
Or witch.
Morgne, or Morgan, as she prefers to be called, is a tall, slender, twenty-two year old woman living in the year 502 AD. She’s a remarkably pretty girl, with silky-fine black hair past her waist, pale skin and a pair of wide grey eyes, but those features also serve to make her look somewhat otherworldly. More often then not, her eyes remain dreamy and slightly unfocused; an outward sign that her mind is firmly in quite another reality then people around her. Indeed, this ‘reality’ that her mind exists in can be in the past, or in the future, as much as however loosely she is connected to the present.
As far as most people are concerned, she isn’t exactly sane, and like any other insane person, she has good days and bad. Bad days are when she is constantly distracted by memories and magic – she is dreamy, easily spooked and can appear almost simple. Conversation, therefore, is rather disjointed. Good days are when her grey eyes are clear (well, as clear as they get), and she is able to push her magic into the back of her mind. On these days, she can appear nearly normal (there is also a school of thought that she sometimes acts crazier then she is. You decide). Aside from the variances in awareness, Morgan is usually a quiet, serious, scholarly girl with a soft, beautiful voice and the tomboyish tendency to wander outside. She can be lovely and capricious at will, shy and snarky by turns, but there is always a thread of darkness in her. It isn’t evil, isn’t good, just Fey. She has also not so much a disregard for most social and moral rules as an inability to know that they are there.
Morgan is, however, also a witch. As well as being able to See the future and past, and having been known on occasion to be prophetic, Morgan can bend reality around her. Normally this involves shape-shifting herself, but she can change other people and also heal, albeit at the moment the latter two occur mostly by accident. She is, therefore, still learning both how to control her power AND how to cast spells – she is by no means as good at spells and curses as she will be in the future.
Background: She is from the Arthurian legends, but made up from parts of that whole. She is the youngest daughter of Gorlois and Ygerna, her father being killed when she was two and her mother married to Uther Pendragon, the father of her half-brother, Arthur. Uther has been dead for several years, and her mother raised her in the lonely castle of Tintagel, off the coast of Cornwall, much like any other Romano-British noble girl except for the isolation. Due to her stay at Caerleon, she has taken to wearing more Celtic garb - a loose, heavy dress belted around her hips. When she can, she has bare feet. There are rumours that she is a Fae child, not quite human but at the moment, that's all they are - rumours. At the moment, she is married to Urien of Gore and is the mother of three children - Mordred, Yvain and Morvydd.
Disclaimer: This is an RPG journal for . The character of Morgan is just from the Arthurian legends in general. The main girls in the icons are Ioulia/Yulia Kuznetsova and Julia Altshuler, who are slowly beging replaced by icons of Lonneke Engel. All of these models, obviously own themselves.
